How we publish

Editorial policy

Every guide on this site is written by one of the three named authors above and reviewed by a second team member with the relevant certification. The date at the top of each guide is a real date of publication or last review, not a template.

We do not accept sponsored content, affiliate placements or brand-paid reviews. When we recommend a manufacturer or product it is because we install or service it ourselves and can point to work orders. When we do not know something, we write that we do not know — we do not fill copy with keyword-driven guesses.

Corrections and updates are logged at the bottom of each guide with a date. If you spot a factual error, email editorial@acrepair.nyc — a human reads it.

Beyond the editorial team

Field technicians

The three team members above are the editorial and management team. On any given week, our shop dispatches an additional two to four field technicians for install crews, refrigerant recovery work and off-hours emergency calls. They hold the same EPA Section 608 certification our leads do; when they diagnose in the field a lead technician reviews the diagnosis before parts are ordered on any repair over $2,000.

We do not publish stock-photo “team” blocks for field crews. If you meet a technician on a call, the invoice will name them and their certification number. If a name on the invoice does not match a real person, tell us immediately — we take it seriously.
