Yes. Cold-climate hyper-heating mini-splits from Mitsubishi, Fujitsu and Daikin are our default choice for NYC electrification retrofits. They cool in summer and heat in winter down to 5 F outdoor with no auxiliary backup, and lower with backup electric resistance.
Window install: one hour per unit. Single-zone ductless: one working day. Multi-zone ductless: two to three days. Central AC replacement: two to five days depending on ductwork condition and access. We give a firm window in the written scope.
Yes. We recover refrigerant per EPA Section 608, disconnect and remove the old equipment, and file the recovery paperwork. That is a legal requirement, not an optional extra.
