How long does a mini-split install take?
A single-zone install on an accessible facade or courtyard is usually one working day. Multi-zone systems, co-op work with restricted hours or long line-set runs take two to three days. We give a firm window in the written scope.
Do you handle co-op and condo approvals?
Yes. We prepare the equipment cut sheets, insurance certificates and installer license documentation that managing agents ask for, and we schedule around building work-hour rules. Tell us the managing agent when you request the site visit.
Which mini-split brands do you install?
Mitsubishi Electric, Fujitsu, Daikin and LG most often. We are trained on the ductless brands we service most, and we tell you honestly which model line fits the room, not the highest margin option.
Can you install a cold-climate mini-split for winter heating?
Yes. Cold-climate hyper-heating systems are a common choice for NYC electrification retrofits. We size the outdoor unit against the design temperature, not just the summer load, so it heats reliably in a January cold snap.
Do you also service the systems you install?
Yes. Every install includes a first-year service check and we hold the equipment history so a fault three years later is diagnosed against the actual commissioning readings.

Commissioning
Refrigerant handling is part of a proper installation
Test the line set before opening the system
After the indoor and outdoor units are connected, the line set is pressure-tested and evacuated with a vacuum pump before the factory refrigerant charge is released. This removes air and moisture from the piping and gives the installer a chance to find a leak before the system is placed in service.
Use the refrigerant specified for that equipment
Mini-split labels identify the required refrigerant. R-410A equipment and newer R-32 equipment use different procedures and components; refrigerants are not mixed or topped up by guesswork. EPA Section 608-certified technicians recover refrigerant when service requires opening an existing system and record commissioning readings at startup.
